Aloe

Aloe (Aloe vera), also known as Aloe Vera, is a popular succulent prized for its medicinal properties and low-maintenance care. Its thick, fleshy leaves store water, making it highly drought-tolerant.

Light

  • Thrives in bright, indirect light.

  • Can tolerate some direct sunlight but prolonged exposure may cause sunburn.

  • Low light can lead to weak, leggy growth.

Watering

  • Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings.

  • Water deeply, but ensure proper drainage to prevent root rot.

  • Water less frequently in winter when growth slows.

Temperature

  • Ideal temperature: 65–80°F.

  • Can tolerate temperatures as low as 50°F but is not frost-hardy.

  • Keep away from cold drafts and extreme heat.

Fertilizing

  • Feed during the growing season (spring–summer) with a diluted, succulent-friendly fertilizer every 4–6 weeks.

  • Do not fertilize in fall and winter when growth slows.
