Anthurium
Anthuriums, also known as flamingo flowers or laceleaf, are popular indoor plants known for their glossy, heart-shaped leaves and striking red, white, or pink spathes (the modified leaves surrounding the flower)
Light
Prefers Bright, indirect light.
Tolerates low light to medium light, but flowering may be limited in lower light conditions.
Humidity
Ideal Humidity: 60% or higher.
Tips: Anthuriums love humidity, so if your indoor environment is dry, increase humidity by using a humidifier, placing the pot on a tray of pebbles with water, or misting the leaves occasionally.
Watering
Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry.
In Winter: Water less frequently, as the plant’s growth slows down during the colder months.
Fertilizing
Feed during the growing season (spring and summer), about once a month.
Use a balanced liquid fertilizer (e.g., 20-20-20) or one specifically formulated for flowering plants.
Avoid Fertilizing In the fall and winter, as the plant’s growth slows and it needs less nutrition.
Blooming
Anthuriums can bloom year-round in ideal conditions, especially if they’re getting the right light, humidity, and nutrients.
Spathes: The spathes can last for several weeks before fading. After flowering, prune the spent spathes to encourage fresh blooms.
