Jade

Jade plants (Crassula ovata) are hardy, long-lived succulents known for their thick, fleshy leaves and tree-like growth. These easy-care plants are popular as houseplants and are believed to bring good luck and prosperity.

Light

  • Bright, indirect light to full sun.

  • Prefers at least 4–6 hours of sunlight daily.

  • A south- or west-facing window is ideal for healthy growth.

Watering

  • Allow the soil to dry completely between waterings.

  • Water deeply, but ensure excess drains out—avoid soggy soil.

  • Reduce watering in fall and winter when growth slows.

Temperature

  • Ideal temperature: 65–75°F.

  • Can tolerate temperatures as low as 50°F, but avoid frost.

  • Keep away from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.

Fertilizing

  • Feed sparingly during the growing season (spring–summer).

  • Use a diluted balanced liquid fertilizer (10-10-10) once a month.

  • Do not fertilize in fall and winter.
