Kalanchoe is a vibrant, low-maintenance succulent known for its thick, fleshy leaves and clusters of long-lasting, colorful flowers. It thrives indoors and can bloom multiple times a year with proper care.

Light

  • Bright, indirect light to full sun.

  • Prefers at least 4–6 hours of sunlight daily.

  • A south- or west-facing window is ideal for flowering varieties.

Watering

  • Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry before watering.

  • Water thoroughly, ensuring excess drains out—avoid soggy soil.

  • Reduce watering in fall and winter when growth slows.

Temperature

  • Ideal temperature: 60–80°F.

  • Cannot tolerate temperatures below 50°F.

  • Keep away from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.

Fertilizing

  • Feed during the growing season (spring–summer).

  • Use a diluted balanced liquid fertilizer (10-10-10) once a month.

  • Reduce feeding in fall and winter.
