Palm Robellini

The Pygmy Date Palm (Phoenix roebelenii), also known as the Robellini Palm, is a graceful, compact palm with arching fronds and a slender trunk, making it a popular choice for indoor and outdoor spaces.

Light

  • Prefers bright, indirect light.

  • Can tolerate some direct sunlight, especially in the morning or late afternoon.

  • Low light can slow growth and cause fronds to yellow.

Watering

  • Keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy.

  • Allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering.

  • Increase humidity with regular misting or a nearby water tray.

Temperature

  • Ideal temperature: 70–85°F.

  • Can tolerate temperatures down to 50°F but avoid prolonged cold.

  • Protect from cold drafts, heaters, and air conditioning vents.

Fertilizing

  • Feed during spring and summer with a palm-specific fertilizer every 4–6 weeks.

  • Avoid fertilizing in fall and winter when growth slows.
