Pothos

Pothos (Epipremnum aureum), also known as Devil's Ivy, is a popular and hardy houseplant loved for its trailing vines and heart-shaped leaves. Varieties include Golden Pothos, Marble Queen, Neon Pothos, and Jade Pothos.

Light

  • Thrives in bright, indirect light.

  • Can tolerate low light but may lose variegation in dim conditions.

  • Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.

Watering

  • Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry out before watering.

  • Water thoroughly, letting excess water drain out—avoid soggy soil.

  • Can tolerate occasional underwatering but avoid overwatering.

Temperature

  • Ideal temperature: 65–85°F.

  • Sensitive to temperatures below 50°F.

  • Keep away from cold drafts, heaters, and air conditioning vents.

Fertilizing

  • Feed during the growing season (spring–summer) with a balanced, diluted liquid fertilizer every 4–6 weeks.

  • Do not fertilize in fall and winter when growth slows.
