Selaginella Moss
Selaginella Moss (Selaginella spp.), also known as Spike Moss or Club Moss, is a lush, feathery plant prized for its vibrant green foliage and unique texture. It thrives in humid environments and is often used in terrariums or as a ground cover.
Light
Prefers bright, indirect light.
Can tolerate low light but may grow more slowly.
Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the delicate foliage.
Watering
Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy.
Avoid letting the soil dry out completely, as this can damage the plant.
Increase humidity by misting or placing the pot on a tray with water and pebbles.
Temperature
Ideal temperature: 60–75°F.
Sensitive to temperatures below 50°F.
Avoid exposure to cold drafts, heaters, and air conditioners.
Fertilizing
Feed during the growing season (spring–summer) with a diluted liquid fertilizer every 4–6 weeks.
Reduce or stop fertilizing in fall and winter when growth slows.
