Senecio String of Pearls
Senecio String of Pearls (Curio rowleyanus), also known as String of Beads, is a striking succulent known for its trailing stems adorned with round, bead-like leaves. It's an excellent choice for hanging baskets and adds a unique, modern look to indoor spaces.
Light
Thrives in bright, indirect light.
Can tolerate some direct sunlight, especially in the morning.
Low light can result in leggy growth and loss of beads.
Watering
Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings.
Water thoroughly, letting excess water drain out—avoid overwatering, as it is prone to root rot.
Water less frequently in winter when the plant is dormant.
Temperature
Ideal temperature: 65–80°F.
Sensitive to temperatures below 50°F.
Protect from frost and keep away from cold drafts and extreme heat.
Fertilizing
Feed during the growing season (spring–summer) with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer once a month.
Do not fertilize in fall and winter when growth slows.
