Spathiphyllum Peace Lily

Spathiphyllum Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum spp.) is a popular, low-maintenance houseplant admired for its glossy green leaves and elegant white blooms. Known for its air-purifying qualities, it adds beauty and function to indoor spaces.

Light

  • Prefers bright, indirect light.

  • Can tolerate low light but may produce fewer flowers.

  • Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.

Watering

  • Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy.

  • Allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering.

  • Increase humidity by misting the leaves or placing a tray of water nearby.

Temperature

  • Ideal temperature: 65–80°F.

  • Cannot tolerate temperatures below 50°F.

  • Keep away from cold drafts, heaters, and air conditioning vents.

Fertilizing

  • Feed during the growing season (spring–summer) with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer every 4–6 weeks.

  • Do not fertilize in fall and winter when growth slows.
