Spider Plant
Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum), also known as Ribbon Plant or Airplane Plant, is a resilient and easy-to-grow houseplant. Its arching leaves and baby "spiderettes" make it a favorite for hanging baskets and tabletops.
Light
Prefers bright, indirect light.
Can tolerate low light but grows best in medium to bright light.
Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.
Watering
Allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering.
Water thoroughly, letting excess water drain—do not let the plant sit in standing water.
Increase humidity if the tips of the leaves begin to brown.
Temperature
Ideal temperature: 65–75°F.
Can tolerate temperatures as low as 50°F but avoids frost.
Keep away from cold drafts, heaters, and air conditioning vents.
Fertilizing
Feed during the growing season (spring–summer) with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer every 4 weeks.
Do not fertilize in fall and winter when growth slows.
