Succulent
Light
Bright, indirect light to full sun, depending on the succulent variety.
Indoors: Place near a south- or west-facing window for 6–8 hours of sunlight daily.
Outdoors: Gradually introduce succulents to full sun to prevent sunburn.
Watering
Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings.
Water deeply, letting excess drain out—avoid leaving water in the saucer or container.
Water less frequently in fall and winter when growth slows.
Temperature
Ideal temperature: 60–80°F.
Most succulents cannot tolerate frost—bring them indoors if temperatures drop below 40°F.
Protect from extreme heat to prevent stress.
Soil
Use well-draining, sandy soil:
Cactus or succulent potting mix
Ensure containers have drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.
Fertilizing
Feed during the growing season (spring–summer).
Use a diluted cactus or succulent fertilizer (low in nitrogen) every 4–6 weeks.
Avoid fertilizing in fall and winter when succulents are dormant.
Arrangement Tips
Combine succulents with similar care needs (light, water, and size).
Create visual interest by mixing different textures, shapes, and colors.
Pruning & Maintenance
Remove dead or yellowing leaves to maintain a clean appearance.
Prune leggy growth to encourage compact growth.
Repot every 2–3 years, or when succulents outgrow their containers.
